Privacy Policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

This policy explains what the One-Ten Web Design Challenge website collects and what we do with it. The short version: we look at anonymous analytics to see how the site is used, and we use what you send us in a submission to run and judge the challenge. Nothing else.

Information We Collect

Like most websites, we collect non-personal information of the sort that browsers make available, such as the browser type, device, language preference, referring site, the pages you visit, the date and time of each visit, and your approximate location (the country or city, worked out from your IP address).

When you enter the challenge, we also collect what you give us in the submission form. That includes:

  • Your name and email address
  • The link to your hosted site
  • Your written brief and presentation frames
  • Anything else you choose to include with your entry

How We Use Your Information

We use what we collect for two things only:

  • Analytics: to understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it.
  • Running the challenge: to receive and review your entry, judge it against the criteria, contact you about your entry and its result, and award prizes.

We do not use your information for anything else. We do not use it for marketing or advertising, and we do not sell it.

Protection of Information

Your submission and the details that come with it are seen only by the people who need them to run the challenge: the team organising it and the judges reviewing the entries.

The analytics information is processed for us by Google (see Analytics below). Beyond that, we do not share your information with anyone, except where the law requires us to.

We Don't Train AI With Your Data

Your entry and your details are never used to train AI models.

Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser so it can tell one visitor from another and count visits; you can block or delete them in your browser settings and the site will still work.

The site also remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme by saving that choice in your browser. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used in aggregate: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and what kinds of devices they use. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not combine it with what you send us in a submission. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy.

Links to Other Websites

This site links to other websites, such as those of our sponsors and judges. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of those sites.

Privacy Policy Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, with the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
